When David wrote Psalm 100, he wrote it not only for God’s people, the Israelites, but also for us today who believe by faith in Jesus Christ. To praise the Lord, to serve, and to worship Him, the living God.

When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you must worship Him in truth with gladness and joy, praise Him, and be thankful in Him. The moment you accepted Him, you became the sons of God. The Bible says in John chapter 1, verse 12

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”

1. Make a joyful noise.
  • Verse 1 “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, All ye lands.”
  • Hebrew chapter 2 verse 12 “Saying, I  will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.”

2. Serve the LORD.
  • Verse 2, “Serve the LORD with (what?) gladness, come before his presence with singing.”
  • Hebrews chapter 12 verse 2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher
of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
  • Luke chapter 10 verse 21 “In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth…”
  • Mark chapter 14 verse 26 “And when they had –what?—sung a hymn…”

3. Know that He is God.
