3. How to walk in Christ

Ptr. Ryan Jeff Brual — 2 August 2026, 10:00

Before you were saved, you would fulfill the lust of the flesh; it means your way is toward the things outside the will of God. Before you were saved, you would choose to go to sports games on Sunday instead of going to church, and after school or work on Friday evening, you would join the party at night, drinking alcohol, and so on.

Before you were saved, you would fulfill the lust of the flesh; it means your way is toward the things outside the will of God. Before you were saved, you would choose to go to sports games on Sunday instead of going to church, and after school or work on Friday evening, you would join the party at night, drinking alcohol, and so on.

But when you got saved, everything changed: your lifestyle toward lustful flesh, your mindset, and your heart changed toward Christ, because you received the Holy Ghost the moment you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. The new you, where the nature in which you think and act are toward heavenly things now. A good thing that is pleasing to the Lord.

The bible says in 1st Corinthians 15:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Before, you did not care if you were doing wrong, speaking blasphemy in the name of the Lord. You did not care about others; everything is ok with you, whether it was bad or could hurt feelings. You did not care about. But God changed it; you became a new creature.

However, the truth is that even if we have a new nature, we will face temptation, whether we like it or not. And in this lesson we will learn how to walk in Christ when faced with temptation.

It is not sin to be tempted, but when you act upon it and do not avoid it, it becomes a sin. As a new believer, you would like to understand and know how you can walk in Christ even when temptation comes.

Where even Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior was tempted –yet He was without sin- the bible says in Hebrews 4:15, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
